Finally we have five more rams horn crooks available for Christmas! This may be it for now so once they are gone they are gone. All cream crooks are made from Welsh mountain rams horn and have plenty of character. The red markings in the horn is called blushing and is from where the rams have been fighting! These are lovely examples of traditional shepherds crooks and can be great for anything from the country walk with the dog, a trip to the pub, working around the farm or on your peg during the shooting season. They are very strong, made with a piece of threaded bar between handle and shank very hard to break at the joint. With some care they should last several years or even a lifetime!

All crook are made from natural products and will show slight imperfections adding to their charm and individuality.

All crooks can be shortened and once sold will be fitted with a brass ferrule before shipping. UK postage and packaging is £20 and Europe £50 – I do not send to USA or Australia

April Crooks – to help keep those lambs in line….

I have just 3 rams horn crooks available to anyone interested. The tallest of these pictured above was made to commission and has sold.

All are the same quality as before, these are Welsh mountain ram horns on hazel shanks. All will show natural imperfections as expected with any natural product but add to the charm on the crooks. New Rams Horn Stock September 2015 – this is it before Christmas!

Here we have 12 lovely crooks in Welsh mountain rams horn, buffalo horn and two stunningly fabulous Jacobs rams horn crooks. This is unfortunately all of the stock I can get before Christmas so once they are gone they are gone. All crooks have been expertly made by an experienced stick maker and if looked after will last for several years to come. As with any handmade and natural products they will have blemishes and marks expected from horn and wood. The pinky red areas on the rams horn is called ‘blushing’ from where the ram has been fighting! These are some of the best crooks you will find in the country so treat yourself or a loved one now for that perfect country companion!

Looking for a shepherds crook in rams horn or wood for a Christmas present or just a gift for yourself?  Look no further, below is a large selection of rams horn crooks from Swaledale rams, Welsh Mountain Rams, Wood and Buffalo (not quite as native to the UK!) horn. Rams horn crooks from £125 to £175 and are priced marked accordingly.  Buffalo horn crooks are from £80 to £135.  Wooden crooks are just £75 each,  and market sticks are all £100 each Postage to the UK is £15 for up to three sticks. Overseas postage is £40 to Europe and £60 to USA All sticks are approx. 51″-53″ in height and all have hazel shanks or chestnut shanks.  These are great quality and perfect for walking in the countryside, the forthcoming shooting season and looking after your flock!
