Two Jacobs Rams Horn Crooks Now Available!

Delighted to be able to share with you some very rare Jacobs horn crooks for sale. I had three available but one has sold the moment it was finished so I’m now offering Crook B and Crook C.

Crook B is just over 52″ in length on a lovely mottled markings on the hazel shank. The horn has lovely markings running through the horn – SOLD

Crook C is just under 52″ in length on a lighter coloured shank with a horn spacer. The horn has lovely markings again as you would expect from this exceptional material – £375

Crooks can be shortened before I fit a ferrule.

3 Black Buffalo Horned Beauties…

I have three beautiful black buffalo horn crook on hazel shanks looking for a good home. All three are slightly smaller and lighter than most of the rams horn crooks I sell. They look very smart and are great for anyone who prefers black over cream, they look the part in the field, on your peg or on the farmyard or great just to pick up and take to the local countryside with the dog too.

All crooks can be shortened and once sold will be fitted with a brass ferrule before shipping. UK postage and packaging is £20 and Europe £50 – I do not send crooks to USA or Australia

Buffalo Horn Crook C – The shortest of the bunch but perfectly formed at approx 49″. It has a bone spacer which adds a nice bit on contrast between shank and handle. A really nice little stick and the perfect county companion. £175 SOLD JCM

I have been very busy over the last few months making sticks for Christmas! Last year I sold several at local farmers markets and various craft markets in the South Oxfordshire area. With lots of encouragement  from family, friends and customers I have made several more this year in between getting married and running my successful photography business (www.marklordphotography.com) These sticks are all handmade by myself with a few supplied to me from other stick makers, mainly the rams horn sticks. Latest Rams Horn Shepherds Crook

Here are a few images of my most recently made stick. A lovely Rams Horn crook on a premium grade hazel shank now used on a daily basis by a shepherd in Wiltshire to look after his large flock of sheep. Fitted with a copper collar for added strength when catching those get away sheep!

I have a short waiting list for shepherds crooks at present but please feel free to email me as I can sometimes get my hands on some from other stick makers or please feel free to look at my other sticks I have in stock.

After a successful Great Haseley Farmer’s market with lots of compliments about my sticks and the sale a two sticks I have decided to attend a few more.
