New crooks ready for the spring time!

After selling out at Christmas I am pleased to say I have new crooks available. Just six horn crooks for now, 4 rams horn crooks and 2 buffalo crooks.

As always each crooks has its own brief description beneath it. All crooks can be shortened if needed and will come with a brass ferrule fitted to the bottom of the shank.  These are made from natural products so will have natural imperfections. All crooks are extremely strong and the horn ones are suitable to work with or just for an enjoyable Sunday walk in the hills.

Looking for something really different? These hard to find spalted shanks really do look attractive. Sadly I’m seeing less and less spalted shanks out there so get one while you can. Due to popular demand I have 4 more crooks available for Christmas delivery!

All crooks can be shortened and will come fitted with a brass ferrule. These crooks make perfect gifts for the country lover, hill walkers, at the peg in the field or for use around the farm. These crooks are extremely well made, strong and feel great in the hand. Much admired and a delight to own!

Crook DEC W – Another stunner! This handle is just lovely in the hand, nice and large with a medium weight shank. This shank has quite a taper compared to most giving it a little less weight. New Rams Horn Stock September 2015 – this is it before Christmas!

Here we have 12 lovely crooks in Welsh mountain rams horn, buffalo horn and two stunningly fabulous Jacobs rams horn crooks. This is unfortunately all of the stock I can get before Christmas so once they are gone they are gone. All crooks have been expertly made by an experienced stick maker and if looked after will last for several years to come. As with any handmade and natural products they will have blemishes and marks expected from horn and wood. The pinky red areas on the rams horn is called ‘blushing’ from where the ram has been fighting! These are some of the best crooks you will find in the country so treat yourself or a loved one now for that perfect country companion!
